Make a submission on Snapper 8

Snapper 8 (SNA8) is up for review and Fisheries New Zealand is inviting submissions from the public.

Four options have been put forward all of which include an increase in the total allowable commercial catch (TACC) – 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% increases.

LegaSea is supporting Option Zero. No TACC increase. More commercial fishing will mean more bottom trawling and more damage to the benthic environment and marine ecosystem.
