Leave a Legacy for LegaSea
Include a gift in your Will.
Thank you for considering giving a gift in your Will to LegaSea. Your gift will leave a lasting LegaSea for the next generation of marine lovers.
Imagine a future where our New Zealand inshore fisheries are thriving, where future generations are able to fish and provide healthy kai for their families. Every New Zealander deserves to have access to healthy oceans and kaimoana.
Have you spent many years making memories on or around the waters of New Zealand with your family and friends through boating, fishing or diving? Will you be remembered as someone whose love of the ocean helped our fisheries for good?
Including a gift in your Will to LegaSea, big or small is welcome, will support us in our endeavours to return our marine spaces to their former glory, like they were when you were young.
LegaSea promise to
- Campaign to ban trawling and dredging in New Zealand’s inshore waters.
- Demand a review of the Quota Management System.
- Educate the public on how we can all reduce our impact on the marine environment.
- Expose wasteful practices and promote plans to effectively restore fish abundance and marine biodiversity.
Improving the management of New Zealand’s precious marine environment will deliver restored abundance and diversity, increase food and job security for people dependent on the sea, while enhancing the social, cultural and economic wellbeing of all New Zealanders.
Writing or amending your Will is a relatively simple process and you can be as specific as you like in what areas of LegaSea’s work you want to support. However, we always recommend you seek advice from a qualified legal professional when writing your Will. You can be assured your funds will go to the requested avenues.
As a non-profit organisation, maintaining quality governance, financial oversight, and accountability is paramount. LegaSea diligently upholds a commitment to providing complete, accurate and timely reporting through our accountability reports and annual audited accounts. Transparency is key to engaging the support of caring Kiwis like you.
Help LegaSea advocate for restored abundance as well as ensuring future generations get a fair go.
