Kōparepare
Kōparepare (pronounced – Kaw-pardy-pardy) – meaning, Gift, Present, or Contribution delivers Whitehaven’s promise that “Each bottle of Kōparepare enjoyed helps fund LegaSea and their commitment to have our inshore fisheries restored to abundance. It’s our gift to future generations”.
Fish and wine? Maybe the wine wouldn’t be as tasty at the table without the fish, or the fish without the wine, but one thing is for sure; why would we want to lose one or the other?
“Whitehaven is the dream my parents shared while sheltering in the waters of the Marlborough Sounds. As a family operated business we are passionate about protecting our natural resources and I feel privileged to share this legacy with you through the Kōparepare range of wines. Kōparepare helps to fund the work of LegaSea. Please enjoy and join me in protecting New Zealand’s marine environment.”
Samantha White, Kōparepare Ambassador, Whitehaven Wines.

A medium-bodied wine, richly textured with lovely fruit purity. The citrus and tropical flavours are carried to a long refreshing finish.
Kōparepare 2024 Marlborough 9% Riesling
At just 9% alcohol, this Riesling is full of crunchy green apple, lime zest and peach flavours. Produced in a classic mid-sweet style, balanced perfectly with high, mouthwatering acidity, the palate finishes refreshed and cleansed with just a hint of sweetness.
Kōparepare 2023 Marlborough Pinot Gris
Lifted floral tones, underpinned by ripe pear and white nectarine notes. Classic pear and fig flavours, with a suggestion of nougat and almond.
Light to medium-bodied, this wine displays notes of lemon and grapefruit. Made to be easy to drink, this finely textured wine has refreshing acidity that is perfectly balanced by a hint of residual sugar.
Kōparepare 2023 Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé
Medium-bodied with bright red fruit flavours, a creamy texture followed by a lengthy, soft finish. Made from 100% Pinot Noir.
Kōparepare 2020 Pinot Noir
A medium bodied wine, with savoury red fruits and oak spice laced onto a fine, silky tannin structure. The soft acid and tannin framework carry the wine to a long, full finish.
Kōparepare 2022 Chardonnay
A medium bodied wine with a soft, plush texture and some creaminess from the extended maturation on yeast lees. Stonefruit and citrus dominate, and the oak lends an attractive dry finish.
